“Because I could watch you for a single minute and find a thousand things that I love about you.”
As soon as Tom and I walked through the doors into the beautiful Fontainebleau Inn for Hannah and Ryan’s wedding day we knew we were in for a real treat. Besides the fact that the venue is incredibly stunning and a photographer’s dream to capture, Hannah and Ryan are a gorgeous couple and we’re sure could not take a bad picture even if they tried! They are also an incredibly kindhearted and fun couple, and kept us smiling and laughing all day.
When we arrived we overheard the laughter and footsteps of Hannah and her bridesmaids upstairs. Mix that with the sounds of bellowing belly chuckles from Ryan and his groomsmen outside and it’s easy to see that any way we turned there was pure joy surrounding us! We bounded up the stairs and were greeted by a group of gorgeous girls, all dressed in pink robes embroidered with their names. While they finished up hair and makeup, they made sure to take numerous dance breaks and belted out some of their favorite songs. (One song that I HAVE to mention is “Closer” by The Chain Smokers. This song became sort of a wedding anthem for the day, starting in the morning and being played countless times throughout the day till the very end of the night. Now every time we hear that song we are taken back to the wedding day and remember how much fun their bridal party had, singing and dancing together every time it came on.) While Hannah was helped into her gown and heels (the same ones her mother wore on her wedding day), Ryan was directly downstairs in the “Scotch room” with his groomsmen taking photos with Tom. This hilarious group of guys had Tom cracking up, posing with (an upside down) bird watching guide book looking deep in thought.
Guests started arriving and filled the seats on the great lawn of the Estate overlooking Cayuga Lake. Ryan stood waiting for his bride looking handsome in his grey suit (with the cutest wine cork boutonnière ). The bridesmaids floated down the aisle in their soft pink gowns carrying beautiful pink bouquets. After the adorable flower girls made their way out the door, it was time for Hannah. Out she stepped, looking like a dream in her mermaid style gown with an extravagant flowing train! It really was a magical moment watching them take each others hands and pledge themselves to each other. It was clear to see that from the moment Hannah met Ryan at the end of the aisle they had been holding in a huge kiss because when they finally said “I do” their first kiss had so much passion!
The reception layout was so unique and awesome! The dining area was in a stunning wooden room with so much rustic character. The centerpieces were various wine bottles and bouquets of hydrangeas and roses, and each quest got an adorable wine stopper party favor! The wedding toasts we heard that night were some of our favorites. Everyone was chanting and cheering, and we loved seeing their involvement, and could feel the positive energy and love from everyone in the room! The buffet lineup was the next room over (where the adorable cake/cupcake tier stood). Everything we ate that night was soooo tasty, and the cake smash that followed later that night was one for the books! The dance floor was on the patio, just a few steps down from the dining area and from their first dance to the last dance of the night Hannah and Ryan were on it! If you ever need anyone to amp up a dance floor, invite Hannah and Ryan, they know how to party! What an incredibly fun day and night it was!
