Oh Happy day! We get to share Alexandra and Jared’s gorgeous wedding with everyone!
I cannot stop smiling when I reflect on their beautiful day! Tom and I both feel so blessed that we were able to get to know Alexandra and Jared, as they are two of the most kind and (definitely) most fun people that we’ve ever met! From the very first exchanges, Alex was so excited to tell us about the wedding, and about her and her Fiance, Jared. She told us about their jobs; her’s as a Spanish teacher, Jared’s as NYPD, and we chatted about the dreaded exam week and about all the exciting plans for the future! After every phone call and email exchanged, our anticipation for their wedding grew, and when the day finally arrived, it was everything we had dreamed, and more!
My morning was spent with some very sweet and beautiful ladies. All dressed in super cool monogrammed tank tops. We all shared laughs as neighbors, who also turned out to be family, walked across the backyard waving hello to the bride-to-be as she was getting ready for the day! All of these little moments were fun icebreakers for Alex, as she was trying to stay cool, calm and collected. Meanwhile Tom was with Jared and the groomsmen, hanging out and reminiscing on some of their favorite college stories! Plus, yay for college, because that’s where these two sweethearts met!
The Ceremony and Reception were held at the stunning Wolf Oak Acres! The pond was a beautiful backdrop for them as they gathered hand in hand under the chuppah. This was our first Jewish wedding ceremony and we loved it! The signing and declaration of the Ketubah was a really interesting way to learn more about the culture and of course our very favorite part was the smashing of the glass and Alexandra’s face when she and everyone exclaimed “Mazel Tov”!
Immediately following the ceremony we got some alone time with Alex and Jared for photos on the gorgeous grounds of the venue, and it was so clear to see the happiness they shared to be officially married! All the silly faces they made while smushed up forehead to forehead kept Tom and I laughing the whole time, and their sincere joy made it so easy to capture the true happiness of the day!
When it was party time guest filed into the reception area, where it was decorated beautifully with gorgeous floral centerpieces, and little blue stars favors! My favorite part had to have been the cake table, filled with cannolis, cupcakes, and mini cheesecakes, plus a vintage cake topper that belonged to Alexandra’s grandparents from their wedding day! Not only was the dessert table full of goodies, but the dinner was incredible, I wish the buffet was never ending! From dinner till the last song played, everyone was on their feet, moving and grooving; and I’ve honestly never seen a bride picked up and twirled so many times in my life!
Congratulations Alexandra and Jared! Thank you so much for inviting us to be a part of your wedding day! We loved being able to capture such a wonderful, unforgettable day for you both, and we can’t wait to see what else your future has in store!
