Katie + Bob

The entire time sorting through Katie and Bob’s wedding photos I had a HUGE smile on my face. The love they have for each other is so endearing and exciting to capture. I had the hardest time choosing my favorite photos to feature on the blog because EVERY photo was a favorite! The entire day was jam packed full of amazing memories and it left Tom and I on a total wedding high! Besides the fact that Katie and Bob were too sweet for words, they chose one of our favorite venues! MKJ is stunning and it’s hard to believe that it was exactly one year since we had been there, so it’s safe to say we were thrilled to be back! Put it all together and you get one incredible wedding! So without further a do let me get into sharing my favorite memories of the day!

Katie and Bob had a morning that everyone hopes for on their own wedding day, one where your family and friends keep you laughing through every wave of emotion. It was easy to see what an incredible amount of love and support everyone had for Katie and Bob. One of my favorite moments from the morning was when Bob’s parents each stopped up to see Katie before she walked down the aisle. They gave her a hug and a kiss as they had tears in their eyes, and Katies soon to be father in law handed a framed photo of his Son when he was just a little boy along with some sweet sentiments, it was truly a touching moment. We were lucky enough to have some spare time before we had to head down to the barn and so we all took a walk around the pond for some photos and had a perfect view to watch as four huge bus loads of guests filed into the massive barn!

At the far end of the barn, Bob stood in wait for his beautiful bride. I followed behind Katie as she and her father made their way down the aisle, the sun was glowing around their silhouettes, like something out of a movie!. Although their ceremony was short, it was not short of emotion! In fact, I can’t help but mention how many sweet moments took place all within a few quick minutes! Like that little wink that Bob snuck to Katie, and how every time her voice would start to shake during vows, he reached out a hand and rubbed it encouraging her. Public speaking isn’t an easy thing, even more so when you are expressing your love in front of so many people, but Katie and Bob had a way of making it seem like it was only them talking to each other. Plus, their first kiss as a married couple was followed up by the sweetest hug! Can it get any better than that!? Let me answer that, yes, the entire rest of the day I kept asking myself that same question, and every time I thought they had hit the limit of endearment, I was wrong. Even the portrait session was chucked full of “aww” moments! Hugs and kisses without any kind of guidance from us are always the best, and very excitedly welcomed. Also, the sweetest part of the day, in my opinion, EVERY spot we walked to while we explored, Bob carried Katie’s dress for her, and when it came time to take the photo, he made sure that it was fluffed to perfection. I mean, c’mon how sweet is that! ( I loved it so much, you’ll see it featured multiple times in the blog photos!)

When it came time for the reception, like I mentioned before, it just kept getting better! The first dance they shared was skilled, and still so fun and genuine, if having two left feet is bad, then they both have two right feet…get it? The speeches and blessings of the night were unforgettable, with laughs, and Katie’s dad giving one so moving that it had everyone in tears and on their feet! A family style feast of yummy bbq was served up and after that, it was party time, and party they did! Even the guests were far beyond the “average” level of dance skills, busting out all the moves to Beyonce’s “Formation”, My jaw dropped! Everyone was having such a good time on the dancefloor and to sweeten the day even more, there was a huge ice cream bar. Yes, best idea ever! Tom and I were SO thrilled to be a part of this day!

A huge congratulation to Katie and Bob! We admire you both so much! Wishing you lots of love!
