When your couples pay homage to your favorite TV show The Office in their wedding vows you know it was fate that you were the ones to capture their day. Without a doubt, Paige and Nate’s wedding was the most relatable wedding day we’ve photographed. No, it’s not just because Paige confirmed Nate was the “Jim to her Pam”, (even though that actually made us squeal with excitement when we heard it!) But it also clicked when we shared our love of Disney and musicals with each other! I found myself the whole day cracking up with the Paige and her girls in the morning and wishing I could take these sweet ladies to every wedding with me!
The beautiful and historic Hotel Utica is where the wedding day took place. That venue is already straight out of a Disney movie, add in two lovebirds who are dressed to the nine’s and you’ve got magic! Stephanie from Tease and Makeup most likely witnessed the greatest reaction to the first look at makeup when Paige saw herself and BC updos gave her a “hairdo” fit for a princess! When Paige stepped into her Morilee dress, I started to tear up, she looked stunning! Nate’s reaction during the first look was mine 10x ten. The ceremony, although visually elaborate was actually quite intimate and the handwritten vows made it sweet and sincere! Paige’s moments that she shared with her father right before they walked down the aisle made were some of the purest and loving I’ve witnessed! The ballroom reception was effortlessly fun with Gary Johnson mixing music and getting the party going! The heartwarming father-daughter dance had a comedic twist, and Paige’s dad had the room in a roar of laughter. Speeches that made us laugh and cry, and a cake made by Toni of Sweet Creations that was almost too beautiful to eat! Then after hours of non-stop dancing, and chairs coming on and off the dance floor, the day ended with a massive group hug. The perfect ending to Nate and Paige’s day!
To wrap up their wedding blog, a quote from The Office. ( We just HAD to! ) “All I know is that every time I’ve been faced with a tough decision, there’s only one thing that outweighs every other concern. One thing that will make you give up on everything you thought you knew, every instinct, every rational calculation. Love.” Congratulations Paige and Nate!
