Hannah + Tim’s Wedding at the Treman Center

Weddings are celebrations, celebrations of love, togetherness, and friendship, Hannah and Tim’s wedding was just that. 10 years in the making from the first time they had first met while at Cornell, and now they are joined together as husband and wife in front of everyone they hold dear in their hearts. They had friends and family that gathered together from California to Korea, and there was an overwhelming feeling of love and support from everyone in attendance!

Now, Hannah and Tim live in New York City, so all of our meetings took place over the phone, and even though the day of the wedding was the first official meeting, Tom and I felt right at home with them. They, along with their wedding party were so welcoming and had me cracking up within the first few minutes of meeting them all! I mean, what bonds people faster than 90’s love ballads, am I right? One recurring theme of our phone call meetings with Hannah was that they wanted the wedding to be family oriented, and the fact that her father was the officiant, helped bring that to life. Right before Hannah made her way downstairs to the ceremony, she asked me how awesome I thought my job was, and I teared up trying to describe just how special it was to me, and as she and her dad giggled nervously together before the big moment, I teared up again. I felt every wave of emotion during Hannah and Tim’s day, and I think that is because they went into with open hearts, open minds, and the willingness to let themselves be fully present. Hannah and Tim did not have a “typical” wedding, because they simply knew that that’s not what they wanted. They exchanged the first dance, for a “first shot” and skipped the traditions that typically make up a “standard” because they knew that their wedding is theirs for a reason, and why be average, when you can be yourselves?!

Hannah and Tim, thank you for letting us be a part of your day! On our drive home from Ithaca, we could not stop talking about how much we enjoyed capturing these memories for you! Cheers to you both!
