Brendan + Angie’s Wedding

Weddings fuel our fire, and sometimes during the winter, AKA our offseason, we feel ourselves missing the consistent celebration of love every weekend and miss having a way to channel our creativity through our job! That’s probably why we were already anticipating Brendan and Angie’s winter wedding far before the day even came, honestly we were looking forward to it the first time they came to us and told us their dreamy vision of an elegant holiday inspired nuptial! We think there is something so romantic about the winter season, snuggling up by a fire with a hot cup of cocoa all while being surrounded by twinkling lights on a Christmas tree, count us in! We loved that all of those comforts and warm feelings were brought to life for Angie and Brendan’s wedding!

The beautiful Otesaga hotel made for a wonderful backdrop on the chilly December day. As we arrived the entire wedding party was downstairs in a hustle to get ready. The morning of a wedding day typically fly by, but there are always moments scattered between that are so memorable and heartwarming like the moment Angie put in her veil and you could see her shift to a bride all within seconds! Then when she stepped into her gown and they opened the doors for her reveal and her mom cried, I just about lost it as well! – sympathetic cryer over here!

When it came time for the first look, it was like a moment out of a comedy movie when the wedding party stood, faces pressed against the big picture windows waiting for the big moment! As Angie made her way to Brendan out on the porch facing the icy Otsego lake you could see the excitement in their eyes! They chose to share personal, private vows with each other -which we have to mention, included some jokes about the office, (as if we didn’t already love them enough). Angie and Brendan were absolute troopers through the freezing temperatures and were ready to do anything to get some great photos with us, we kept referring to them as “wedding champions”!

Soon enough the portrait session was over and it was time for the ceremony! The sun had set, a row of trees lined the aisles and between two massive flocked trees stood Brendan where he watched as Angie made her way to him. She was absolutely radiating, with an ear to ear smile the entire way. Their ceremony felt so intimate and romantic, but with giggles and jokes scattered throughout it also felt authenticity them!

Their reception was held in the ballroom on the opposite end of the ceremony room. It had a party mode right away, guests were mingling and having fun. After some feel good introductions, filled with Christmas props galore, first dances that made us smile and speeches that had us learning so much about Brendan and Angie, guests were seated to a wonderful dinner. Then, you guessed it, right onto the dance floor they went, and it was filled- the best way a dance floor should be in our opinion! If Brendan and Angie were looking for a way to bring the joy of the holidays and the passion of their love together, they really did it! A truly amazing day it was and we feel so lucky to have been a part of it!
